Learn more about PAGRA

Hello, my name is Paul Graube, and I'm the person behind PAGRA Studio. I consider myself a creative artist, and I've been that way since I was a young boy. I have a growing urge to imagine and bring things to life. Wood, metal, and minerals are my elements, which manifest in my work. Even in early childhood, I had a persistent urge to try things I didn't know how to do and to create things I didn't own. When I was given access to tools instead of toys, I could create the things I desired most under the watchful eye of a master craftsman and my father. I didn't know it then, but with broken drill bits, bandages, and sheer exuberance, I was already shaping my future.

As a child and teenager, I spent countless hours in my father's workshop, gaining comprehensive insights into the art of woodworking and metalworking. From crafting a smoker for the neighbor to precise welding work on the hay wagon, a wide range of activities shaped my versatility. This diversity allowed me to explore different techniques and areas of work. My father's vehicles and motorcycle also didn't escape my hands. The opportunities my father provided and his instructive guidance have profoundly shaped my skills as a designer.

As a hobbyist and designer, I cultivated my passion for creative projects from a young age. During my mechanical engineering studies, I learned methodical design, solution-oriented problem-solving, and the confident use of CAx software.

The decisive step towards 3D printing came when I built a custom motorcycle – a project that combined precision with my own design aspirations. It was there that I recognized the potential of additive manufacturing. Since then, I've used CAD and 3D printing to quickly bring ideas to life for myself and my clients.

After moving out of my parents' house, I lacked both money and suitable furniture – so I built it myself. This led to commissions for friends and family and the starting point for my self-employment. While setting up my garage workshop, I had no idea that I was paving the way for my future. Today, I use these skills to push the boundaries of what's possible and transform complex ideas into impressive realities.
